ALL mini-tasks are now available both for OS and for SEC. 
Also the first 2 chapters of the OS course are now online. These might help you understanding the topics from the mini-tasks.


Past Mini-Project Reports

The past mini-project reports have been made available in the TOOLBOX page. After choosing your mini-project subject you should give a look to the previous work performed about that or similar topics. It is indeed NOT the purpose to do the same work all over again, except if new versions of software now available. ADDED VALUE on top of what has been performed previously is needed.

Advice for use of Microsoft Hyper-V

I advice to use the latest technology on your PC if it comes to virtualisation. First, you will need Windows 10 PRO on you PC. As student you have free access to this (explained in the website). Only use the free license key to upgrade you PC to the latest version of Windows 10. Once you get there you can use Hyper-V as a professional virtualisation technology. However, there are some suppolementary conditions: first I advice to have at least 8 GB of central memory, and second, you should check your processor is supporting hardware virtualisation. It is easy and not too expensive to upgrade the central memory RAM to 8 GB (ask how if you need advice). In the case the processor is not supporting hardware virtualisation, or you BIOS does not permit to enable it, then you can use VIRTUAL BOX as an alternative to HYPER-V.
